Meade Jail Release Destinations

Key distinction: “No longer in Meade County Jail” does not always mean “released to the community.” A transfer is continued custody.
Confirm a Meade Jail Release
The official Meade County Inmate Search page sends visitors to Kansas VINE. It does not publish a local roster, release archive, or recent-release table. Use that gateway as the alert and status layer, then obtain the record closest to the event.
- Search the person through the county’s Kansas VINE link. Match the full name and other available identifiers rather than relying on a name alone.
- Preserve any custody-change notice and its event wording. A VINE notice is evidence of a change, not a complete account of every hold or transfer.
- Call the Sheriff’s Office and request the proper records channel. Ask for an existing booking/release or custody-history entry, not a new narrative.
- Check the court case for the bond, dismissal, sentence, probation, or other order that explains the legal basis for departure.
- If the record identifies a state transfer, search KASPER after intake processing. KASPER updates each working day, so an immediate no-result may be too early.
The jail entry and court case complement each other. The first records the physical movement. The second records legal authority. Clark Arrests at Meade Jail
Meade County Jail has a documented regional role. The Clark County Sheriff’s official jail page says all people arrested or taken into custody in Clark County are transported to Meade County Jail for booking and incarceration. It also describes Meade as holding pretrial detainees, people serving sentences, and people awaiting transport to KDOC.
This arrangement splits the evidence across jurisdictions. A Clark County case can remain in Clark District Court while Meade County Jail holds the physical custody entry. Searchers should identify both the arresting or charging county and the holding facility. If a Clark arrestee disappears from the Meade custody channel, the event could be a community release, another stage of Clark processing, or transport into state custody.
Meade Release Court Records
District and municipal courts document the legal decisions that can precede release. A docket may show bond action, dismissal, sentencing, jail credit, probation, or revocation. Those entries explain the case, but the jail still supplies the physical release timestamp. One dismissed case also does not rule out another hold or warrant.

Meade Jail Release Logistics
No official Meade source states a routine release time, public exit, family waiting location, weekend or holiday process, property-return rule, fixed-route transportation option, or rideshare procedure. The Sheriff directory also lacks a verified physical street address. Call the jail for case-specific pickup directions before traveling.
Do not import a rule from Clark County. Clark publishes a rule for property left at its own Sheriff facility, but that policy does not establish what Meade County Jail does with property. Questions about clothing, identification, medication, cash, transportation, and where a person will exit should go to the Jail Administrator or the staff member handling the particular release.
